Love bug?!

Vaughan caught a number of bugs and beetles this evening.  One was new to all of us, so came home to be examined in more detail. 

He/she just wouldn't stay still earlier in the night but rested a couple of times much later - so I took a few photos.

I think it may be a tiger beetle though the non-iridescent heart marking on it's rear isn't something I've spotted on the net.  I really doubt we've discovered a new species, so might get Erin to email the museum for assistance!
